CEIR Survey Privacy Notice
Effective May 25, 2018
CEIR conducts surveys using Verint’s online survey system. In the process of conducting an online survey, the following personally identifiable data may be used:
DATA THAT MAY BE CAPTURED AND HOW IT IS USED
Email is used to invite individuals to participate in a CEIR survey. If the email invitation is sent via Verint’s online survey system, email and sometimes an individual’s first name is used to invite the individual to participate in the study. Email is used to track whether an individual has completed a survey. This enables removing individuals who have responded from additional reminder emails. If partners participate in a study by sending out email invitations, they handle these issues through their own email systems.
For respondents who enter for a chance to win a raffle prize, the following information is required to become an entrant: name, title, company, address, country, phone and email. The data is used for entrance into a raffle prize drawing only.
In some surveys, CEIR offers a benefit of receiving a copy of report(s) that are generated from the research in exchange for participating. For those wishing to take advantage of this offer, an email needs to be provided and is used for the sole purpose of sending promised report(s).
Additionally, a respondent’s IP address is also captured and sometimes cookies are used to monitor response to a given survey only.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER A STUDY IS COMPLETED
At the conclusion of a survey – the final, cleaned data set used for data analysis will be anonymized, meaning that all personally identifiable data will be purged, that is, where applicable – name, address, country, phone, email, IP address.
RIGHT TO NOT DISCLOSE PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE DATA
A respondent has the right not to answer any questions that relate to personally identifiable data. These questions are not required in a survey. Participation is possible without disclosing this information.
DISABLING COOKIES WE USE
You can remove or disable cookies used in a survey by going to your browser (e.g. Google Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.). Be advised this may adversely impact the performance of a survey.
UNSUBSCRIBING FROM SURVEY PARTICIPATION
CEIR includes an unsubscribe link in email invitations to participate in a CEIR study sent via the Verint online survey system. For those wanting to not receive survey invitations in the future, using this link will remove them from receiving survey invitations in the future deployed by CEIR via the Verint survey system.
